Hi, I’m Maz
Marilyn Creery is a Central Coast NSW artist who finds inspiration in nature, connection, and the quiet magic of being outdoors. My work captures the feeling of place, from windswept beaches to beloved local landmarks, created while painting directly in the landscape.

Let me show you what I’ve been creating out there in the landscape.
Nature and Nurture
I am Marilyn Creery, a Kiwi living on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia, where everyone calls me Maz, and you’re welcome to do the same.
By profession, I’m a graphic designer, but at heart I’m a landscape artist. I’m also a proud solo mum of two: one who shares my love for creativity, and one who, despite my best efforts, doesn’t… at least not yet.
You’ll often find me painting local landmarks and coastal landscapes, capturing their essence with bold, gestural marks. I work with expressive mediums like ink, acrylic markers, pastels, and charcoal on paper, fast, intuitive tools that allow the energy of the place to come through. Many of my artworks are created outdoors en plein air, sometimes with sand, sea breeze, or the occasional bug becoming part of the process.
My goal is simple: to create artwork that brings a sense of place, calm, and joy into your home.
So if you’re looking for original Australian landscape art or expressive coastal artwork for your walls, you’re in the right place.
Let’s find something that brightens your space.
Perfect for creating a soft, relaxed corner, this made-to-order piece was painted on location during Art in the Open at the 2024 5 Lands Walk.
As thousands walked the track from MacMasters Beach to Terrigal, the day unfolded in a shared rhythm, honouring the Indigenous history of the land and the beauty of the coastline.
Passing rain left its mark, dampening the paper and creating organic effects that couldn’t be planned. Rather than interrupting the process, it became part of it, nature stepping in as collaborator.
This piece captures that moment: communal, expressive, and shaped by the elements.
Part of a series capturing Central Coast locations, these artworks bring personality and atmosphere to homes, offices, and hospitality spaces, while supporting a local artist and celebrating the region.
Available in multiple sizes, from extra-large statement pieces (A0) to smaller formats (A4), making it easy to find the perfect fit for any wall.
Made to order, delivered to your door.
